Tipis & Rates

We know we have the most beautiful place on earth as so many people have told us so.  We also know how many people never want to leave once they have been here. We are honoring our Indian Mother, Cowboy Father and all those in our family who served in the armed forces.

Tipi 1 ~ 
Army/Cowboy/Indian

This is a family ranch.  Been here since 1911.  Recently Nancy came back as to fix up the place has always been on her mind.  She dedicates the tipis to the Indians, fhe Cowboys and the men who served our countryl  Brother Doug

Vietnam/Ranchers

 

Sister Jeanne was born on the ranch and has always been in the valley her entire life. 

John was in Vietnam, so we honor his service .  Check out his handywork on the

ranch.

Navy/Rancher

 

Brother Daniel was in the Navy and served on the ship that picked up the first astronauts, the Kearsarge.  He had a ranch of his own and ran it with his wife Cheryl, and sons for many years.  We honor his service in Vietnam in the Navy.  He was nicknamed the "Turtle" when he worked for our tribe.

Navy/Rodeo Rider/Welder

 

For now this Tipi is shared by the brothers James and Richard.  Both of them left us way to soon but there isn't a day goes by we dont think of them.  Rickard was a great bareback rider and all around cowboy.  He was being recruited by many colleges to rodeo..  Jim was a wild man and lived life to the fullest.  The oil rig operators in Wyoming said he was the best welder in Wyoming.  Jim served in the Navy during the Vietnam war.

CSKT FEMA/Rancher

 

Sister Jolene worked for the tribe in the emergency services.  Her husband was in the Navy during the Koren War.  They had an amazing ranch for many years.  Ronnie's family was from Norway thus we honor that country with the caribou.

Engineer

 

Joel (son of Nancy) is an engineer in the salt industry in Houston.  His wife Sarah is an engineer for Shell Oil..  He has always been a student of our tribe.  His Kootenai name is Three Grizzlies.  His son Lane is Son of Three Grigglies and his daughter is Comes Home Grizzly

Sales Executive

 

I started out only going to do TiPis for my children but got carried away with my family.  I hope they love that they are honored also.  Matt's (son of Nancy) Kootenai name is Tish nah kuh  and his son Wyatt's name is Raven who Flies above the Clouds.  His wife Jennifer is an executive with Auto Desk in San Francisco.

The Daughter Whit was the President of a company in Houston until she needed some down time.  She can give some tips on how to decompress and where to find solitude on the ranch.  Her Kootenai name is Woman in Tipi in the Middle of the Village which fits her just fine
